Mission Statement
To support the working poor and those in need of public assistance
through the distribution of food and the mentoring of women
in crisis, pregnancies, and/or families with children.
Food
Pantry
Serving
the western part of Monongalia County, WV.Open the first and
third Wednesdays of each month, 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Associated
with the Mountaineer Food Bank of the Second Harvest program.
Assisting
households whose income falls below the Federal poverty guidelines.
Accepting
donations of non-perishable food items and/or financial support.
Items for personal hygiene and cleaning supplies are also
useful. Sponsors the educative program: Supper in a Sack.
The
Gabriel Project
Assisting women facing crisis pregnancies and families with
small children.
Support given
by volunteers of various church congregations. Neighbor helping
neighbor to find needed resources:
emotional
pastoral
transportation
baby items
For residents
of Monongalia County; no income requirements.
Volunteers
from churches mentor women and small families to find their
needed resources.
Sponsors the educative program: Survival Skills for Women.
